Bekentenis

Okee, okee, ik geef het toe. We waren op vakantie. Een midweek. We wilden er nog wel een weekend aan vastplakken, maar dat ene weekend was drie keer zo duur als de hele midweek. Dus maar weer naar huis.

De dame vond het prachtig. De prinses van Plopsaland.



De kleine vent vond het ook leuk. Zoom maar eens in op dat gezichtje! Al moet je hem wel even zoeken op de foto.



Zodra ik weer een beetje uitgerust ben kom ik weer met iets creatiefs. Een beetje uitgerust. Anders moet iedereen wachten tot de kinders allebei naar de basisschool gaan. De schatjes!

Zomer in Holland

Nou vooruit, nog maar eens een dan. Het is tenslotte zomer. En de langste dag zit er alweer op, helaas. Vanaf nu wordt het alleen maar weer donkerder. Om te janken.



Ik heb nog meer stempels gemaakt, maar ik denk dat ik die eens bewaar voor als ik weer eens weinig tijd heb en me schuldig voel dat ik te weinig blog.

Ik heb intussen wel een enorm beginners-recept gemaakt voor zelfbedachte jam. De aardbeien waren namelijk in de aanbieding van de week, en de kersen ook. Dus we kunnen er weer even tegen. Haal maar vast wat aardbeien, kristalsuiker, citroenen en sinaasappels in huis!

"Another one" or "nog één"?

Lately I have been thinking... Do I continue writing in English, or should I just go Dutch? That would be far easier for me... But then again, I know that there are quite a few non-Dutch people reading my blog... But then, my most-read post was in Dutch... You know what, I am just going to give it a go and we'll see.

Maar goed, nu verder in het Nederlands. Dus.

Wat is dat toch met die stempels! Ik kan er nooit eens gewoon één maken. Dus de komende dagen ga ik jullie vervelen met handgesneden spulsels. Haak gerust af hoor, over een paar dagen heb ik het weer uit mijn systeem en dan gaan we jam maken! Hoera!

Carving again

Since I got a message last week saying that one of the pics on my blog, a handcarved stamp of a bee, will be in a school book in Belgium, it seems that my stampcarving bug has been reanimated. I have been carving quite a lot lately. This one is ne of my favorites!



I have been thinking about listing them in teh Etsy shop, but for some reason I find it hard to see them go.

What to do?

More granny squares

Last year I made a granny square blanket for the munchkin. She still loves it, it's made with 100% cotton thread so it's quite heavy, but she likes the heavy feel of the blanket on her duvet on cold nights. And the little mand was getting jaleous. So I needed to make him one as well.



These are the colors I selected for him. When I asked him if he wanted squares on his blanket, het said he wanted stripes. So we came to a creative compromise.



I like where this is going!

Hup, Holland, Hup cookies and stuff

With the whole soccer thing still going (without even a real match being played) I decided that I needed to make some "Hup, Holland, Hup" cookies. So here they are. I really couldn't bring myself to make a soccer ball cookie. Maybe if they reach the finals. Hahahahahaha! When was hell going to freeze over?



I did promise the munchkin that I would make her some LRRH (Little Red Riding Hood) cookies. And in the process, I made some more girly cookies.




I am not completely satisfied, maybe I should use some black outline, but the duo loved them anyway.

Sophie Sweet Vintage Blog Marathon

On her birthday as a Blogger, SophieSweetVintage always holds a blogging marathon. Everyday she posts something she likes, or asks someone she likes for a guest post. No such luck for me, but I did get another question... Would I make her some cookies?

So I did!



She asked me for a blue dress specifically, because the header of her blog features a similar blue dress.
