Easy kids craft tutorial

On friday we went to the beach. We collected all kinds of beautiful seashells. So yesterday, we were at home with a big box of shells, and no idea what to do with them.

So we took out the clay (the cheap, air-drying kind from Hema) and rolled it flat, used a cookie cutterto cut out hearts and pressed the shells in them. And voilà! Decorative and easy! The perfect kids craft for a rainy summer day!

The artist herself was proud of her work and didn't mind posing for a picture for mommy's blog... ;-)

Spring

And not a minute too soon... I am completely fed up with winter. It even started to rain while I was carving the stamp.

LRRH

Oh yes, another post about Little Red Riding Hood! Even though I had a migraine the past two days so huge that it should have it's own name (just like hurricanes) and had to post a message about apple pie ("what? Is she kidding?!?") I had a picture of LRRH in my head that I tried to make today. It's not exactly what I wanted, I don't really know how to do the face, but I still like it! Don't you?

Experiment without inspiration

Sometimes I just feel like making something, but I don't really know what. In that case I usually resort to butterflies and flowers. After reading some blogs about paper art, I wanted to try that myself. This is what I made. I think I'll start with fairy tale pictures next, my baby girl loves fairy tales! She wants to be little red riding hood when she grows up... Guess what my next project will be? ;-)

Scissors and a scanner...

A work in progress! As I am never satisfied with how my Etsy shop or my blog looks, I have been busy today with the scanner and my scissors and paper... See here the work in progress... Update tomorrow!

Cliché

I know, I know, on each and every blog you see right now there are pictures of autumn leaves. Booooriiiing!!!!! And yes, I will join in the hype and post fall color pics. But first, I want to show you why.

I was really inspired by Geninne and Ingela Arrhenius to make a kind of collage. The fall colors made it complete. This is the end product (I had to make a picture using flash because it is to dark inside):


The inspiration came mainly from the robin in our backyard and the trees in our street... Today was such a beautiful sunny day that I thought I'd share the joy with you!
